About the position:

Our Growth & Insights Team at Phiture is looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer to help us scale up our structures and build our data collecting and data reporting tools. Use your Python knowledge to build cloud based micro services, work on data structures and contribute to mobile growth of our top tier clients including Adobe, Headspace and LEGO. What will you do:

  • Develop high-performing, scalable, and innovative end-to-end web applications. Get involved in building our data collecting and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with Data scientists, Marketing Managers, and other Engineers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
  • Build features such as web services and run SQL database queries on existing tables
  • Create and maintain server environments: administration, performance parameters, maintenance, and update cycles
  • Implement new and work on existing core data structures and algorithms
  • Ensure responsiveness and reliability of applications
  • Stay up to date with mobile analytics for android and iOS

What will you need:

  • 4+ years of experience with a backend Web Development
  • Automation skills (exporting data from websites and/or APIs).
  • Proficiency in Python, Django, SQL, Restful APIs, Linux, Docker, Docker Compose, and Docker Swarm
  • Javascript, HTML, CSS
  • Proficiency in Relational and NoSQL Database implementation, operations, and scalability.
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Patterns
  • The ability to write easy to follow, well-documented Code
  • Diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Professional-level English proficiency and good problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • Degree in Computer Science
  • Knowledge of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Java, Node.js, and Typescript.
  • Knowledge of the following web frameworks and tools: Flask, Selenium, Rails
  • Experience in Marketing Sector
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Statistics
